A dense field of intergrown calcite crystals rising straight off matrix, built in tight layers that give the whole piece a compact, almost sculpted feel. The base holds deeper honey-brown tones, while the upper growth shifts into a pale, creamy translucence where later crystals settled over the earlier structure. The crystals are sharply stacked and wedge-like, forming a crowded surface of interlocking points that catch light in a soft, scattered way rather than flashing. In the recessed areas, you can still see into the darker interior, giving it depth without breaking the continuity of the formation. There’s a natural upward push to the piece, with the top cresting into slightly more open growth, while the lower sections stay dense and saturated.
