Rainbow Arkansas Twin

Goethite-coated quartz from Montgomery County, Ouachita Mountains, Arkansas. These pieces show a vivid, natural rainbow iridescence created by the goethite coating across the quartz surface.

This material came from a limited, one-time find and is no longer being actively produced. Arkansas quartz itself is well known, but this particular goethite-coated, rainbow material was short-lived and released in a small window.
The iridescence is strongest where the coating is intact, with flashes of gold, blue, violet, and green that shift under light. Untreated and photographed against a black background to accurately show contrast and surface texture.
A standout example of a rare Arkansas occurrence that doesn’t come around often.
